Carlos Camey was born in Guatemala and grew up playing and learning soccer from his grandfather who played professional soccer for Club Municipal. After arriving in the U.S. in 1979, he played club soccer for Luis Balboa (Ex-Rosario Central Player). As a U16-U18 club player, he had the opportunity to play next to Marcelo Balboa (Ex-U.S. National team player). Carlos has been coaching youth club and high school players since 1990. He has been coaching for Canyon PSA since 2007.

Bachelor of Arts and Masters Degree in Secondary Education from Cal State Fullerton University. Carlos has been a teacher at Brea Olinda High School for the past 18 years.
